If you need to escape from the police...go to the bus station and position yourself on top between the 2 ramps. I sat there for about 30 minutes and racked up over 3 million in bounty. If a car comes...just move forward or back and it usually flies off of the top.

Use the following trick to see Walter Sullivan through the peephole of Room 302. Save the game before entering the Apartment World 1st Time so you can repeat this as many times as desired. It also helps if you have not looked through the peephole in quite awhile. Go to Apartment World, 1st Time and run all the way to where Walter is sitting on the stairs, waiting to offer the Shabby Doll to you. The Shabby Doll is not necessary for this trick. When you reach Walter, press X to have him speak to you. It is up to you whether or not you want to hear what he has to say. Either way, run directly to Room 301 and go to the hole all the way to Room 302. When you wake up, go to your door and look through the peephole and you might see Walter staring at you for a minute before leaving. Having Walter appear through the peephole is very random. Reset the game and reload until you see him. Before you complete Apartment world, look through the hole into Eileen's room. You will see a rabbit doll from Silent Hill 3 slumped on a table. However, after Eileen is attacked by little Walter, the doll will now be looking at the peek hole and pointing at you. Look out of the window of the living room section of apartment 302 when you are able to. In the sky floating over the buildings, there is a large balloon that is one of the bunny creatures heads from Silent Hill 3. Sometimes when you look outside of your window, you can look up and see a floating rabbit that resembles the one from Silent Hill 3. Also, when you look in the hole in the wall to your neighbor's house after she gets to the hospital, you can see the same rabbit.

Billy and Miriam Locane are the two kids mentioned in the article found in the trash in Silent Hill 3. Walter Sullivan was the man that was mentioned in a newspaper article in Silent Hill 2. The article stated that he killed Billy and Miriam Locane with an axe, and later stabbed himself in the neck with a soup spoon when they took him to jail. The spoon was found buried two inches in his neck and he was dead from blood loss. Keep looking at the picture of Toluca Lake above Henry's couch. Examine it and at one point he should mention the superintendent telling him that his son and daughter-in-law went missing in Silent Hill a few years ago. The superintendent's surname is Sunderland, and he is most likely talking about James Sunderland, the main character of Silent Hill 2.

Notice the suspicious radio in Henry's living room. At certain parts throughout the game, you will be able to listen to certain broadcasts. Listen to them carefully as they will be part of the story and clue you into what is going on. After you finish the subway, take out the chocolate milk and keep it in your inventory; then save and restart. When you reload, look through the front door peephole then go to the radio for a broadcast from Washington. They will talk about a 3 year old boy.

Ampoules are the best of the healing items. There are two Ampoules that can be found. One is in the storage room on the first floor of the Hospital World. The other is in the bathroom inside Room 106 (the second time around the Apartment World). Save these for the final battle; they will help, especially under the hard difficulty setting.

Hint: Avoiding dogs: on October 29, 2006
The dogs of Silent Hill can be annoying. They are fast and inflict good damage, especially under the hard difficulty setting when they attack in a group. However, you can get past an area infested with dogs by simply walking. As long as you do not attack one or walk up to one, you should be able to pass unhurt. This is very useful in the beginning of the game under the hard difficulty setting, as there are lots of dogs and no good weapons on hand. A good example of this trick would be this. If you run while on the platform (where Cynthia is shouting over the intercom), a group of dogs will jump out of the subway car and attack. If you walk, no dogs will appear from the car and you can proceed to the escalator with no damage. Note: This will not help with all enemies, just the dogs. If you kill an enemy in an area infested with dogs, they will all run over and suck the blood from it, allowing you to get past them easily. Note: If you step in front of one, it will attack you.

When rotating the second and third levels of the prison, do it as follows. Turn the handle four times to the right on the second floor, and two times to the right on the third floor. No matter what difficulty level you are playing on, this will always work.

To make the first trip through the hole go faster, release the Analog-stick when the crawling sound is over to make yourself stop. Then, immediately after you let go, push it Forward again and repeat the process. To sum it up, here is the order of operations. Go, stop when the crawling sound stops, go, stop when the crawling sound stops, etc. This will make the long trip a little shorter.

In Building world (second time), outside the pet shop there should be pieces of paper scattered about. Walk up to one and press X. If done correctly, Henry should read it. It will be a news report on a massacre which happened at the pet shop, in which all the animals were gunned down by machine gun. Once you have read it, you should hear animal noises and gunfire coming from the shop. Enter the shop to find blood everywhere, gun holes in the walls, and animal cages spread out everywhere.

While in the prison, always use the ladders. This saves time, and taking the stairs leads to being attacked by enemies. The only reason the stairs are there is that so that Eileen can get up and down. The only time not to use the stairs is when you are going after Andrew DeSalvo's ghost for the generator room key.

If you want to turn on the kitchen lights, you must make the three holes in each floor above each other leading you to the kitchen. You can only move the holes of the third and second floors. If it did not work, try another three holes above each other leading you to the kitchen.

The best way to take care of the "victims" is to use a Sword Of Obedience or Silver Bullets. If have none of these items you can only hope to find one or two.

To get different types of endings, you must do one of four things. Either clear your apartment of ghosts before the final battle, or do not; and let Eileen die or not. These two course of actions create four different endings.

Pinning Cynthia's ghost down in the turnstile area makes it so she does not bother you and Eileen in the platform area.

Once you have found the correct Wall Monster, equip a strong weapon for Eileen (i.e. the chain or submachine gun). Then, attack it with a charged rusty axe hit, and keep pounding it with light attacks. While you are doing that, Eileen will help out, which drastically increases the amount of damage the Wall Monster receives, thus making the battle very easy.

When you are in the building world part two, use the following trick to finish this scenario quickly. After the scene when Richard Spectre appears in front of you, take the elevator and go to the bottom floor (by using the bottom button). Go out the elevator door (do not take the stairs). Once out, you can see the corridor to the other side of the bars. Then go into the elevator, leaving Eileen behind. You can now continue to the stairs and pass through this corridor. You can see Eileen like a animal on the other side. When you pass this corridor in the another scenario, you must wait for Eileen because she is running behind you like she was there all the time.

Unlike most ghosts, if a candle is placed in front of the ghost Cynthia, she will stand in place and scream as her hair begins to float in every other direction. Other ghosts simply fall.

When you are about in the building world for the second time, sometimes Eileen will act like the little kid and at other times act as if being attacked by a demon or act like a demon. Note: If you are near Eileen when she acts like a demon, it will affect you health.

If you allow Eileen to take enough damage, her appearance will change for the worst, and she will walk faster towards the pool in the final battle.

There is no need to waste a sword if you are just entering areas for items. Instead, knock the ghost down and stab it with the sword, get what you need, and take the sword back. After taking the blade out, you have five to seven seconds to leave without your "ghost sense" ringing out.

Once you get to the wish house, after it has burnt down the mysterious writing in blood can be read aloud by Eileen. After some adjusting she will say "Okay...here goes..." and read the words.

When looking out of your window during the day, you will notice a school bus. If you look close enough, you will notice it is A Midwhich Elementary school bus. This is a reference to the original Silent Hill, where it is the school in which you visit within the first thirty minutes of the game.

Hint: Saint Necklace: on October 29, 2006
Wearing the Saint Necklace, it has two usesl to keep your "ghost sense" from causing actual damage, and to actually exorcise spirits from your apartment. When wearing it in any other world besides the apartment, the screen will do its usual haziness when ghosts appear, but nothing more until the necklace breaks. Keep in mind that the necklace will break if you are confronted by ghosts for too long. Wearing the necklace and running to a possessed area of your apartment will cause the spirit to fight back, but if the necklace is not already broken, the spirit will lose and disappear. Keep in mind that you must have your apartment completely exorcised for the good endings.

When you enter the forest for the second time, go to the corner with the torch. Take the torch and take it to your laundry room in your apartment. Use the oil found on the workbench inside there on the torch. When you return, you may light it when you approach the other torches pressing X. This is used to see down each well that happens to be in each corner of the map. Be cautious however -- if you use the torch to attack or unequip it, it will go out. This causes you to turn back to light it. Killing all of the enemies first and running from the man chasing you is recommended.

To make Henry turn corners more sharply while running, release Run then turn. After you change directions, you can continue to run. This works the best on staircases like the tight ones in the Building World.

Sometimes when the scene changes or you go through a door, a black screen will appear with a ghost or a red/gray circle. Use the Right Analog-stick to move the ghost, and circle around or zoom in on them.

When a strange man places the doll on the stairway, do not take it. It actually makes things worse for you afterwards. If you place it in your storage box, babies will appear above the box, making it difficult to check your items. Your only choice would be to hold it in your inventory, but it requires a slot that you may need. Note: This item has no use at all. When you get the doll, put it in the box by Henry's television.

Finishing the game the second time with the same save will unlock the Flamethrower (if you do not have it). Finish the game the third time, but kill the last Boss, Claudia, with only melee weapons such as the Maul or the Katana. After that, you will unlock the Unlimited Sub Machine Gun. Note: If you do not have the Beam Saber, then in the third time through kill the last Boss, Claudia, with long range weapons such as the shotgun or the sub machine gun.

You can only set the ammo multiplier after successfully completing the game at least once. Then, press Select to go to the status menu, and go to the options menu. Press R1, R2, L1, or L2) to enter the extra options menu. You can now set the ammo multiplier to any value. The ammo multiplier will set the amount of any ammunition you pick by a multiplying its current ammo value to the number you set in the bullet multiplier extra option. For example, when you pick a magazine of 32 bullets for the machine gun, you will instead get 64 bullets when you set the bullet multiplier to 2X.

To unlock these two extra-weapons without having to play a new game from the beginning, save your game in the tarot-puzzle room just before the last Boss. The third one is Heather True-Beam, which is only usable when Heather is wearing the Princess Heart or Transform costume, and can be done by holding X.

There should be a wall that is lightly colored. Smash that wall to get a gun silencer.

When you get to the church and are ready solve the children's room riddle (with the Tarot cards), save the game before you do so. Then, complete the game, defeat the Boss and get to the results screen. When you are done viewing your ranking, press X to see what bonus you were awarded. If you killed more enemies with a melee weapon, you will get a Beam Saber. If you shot more enemies, you will get an infinite flamethrower. Save the game in a new file -- do not overwrite your existing game data. Return to the main title screen and select the "Load" option. Load the saved game created before you killed the Boss. Kill the boss again and skip the credits. When you get to the results screen for the second time, the game will count you having completed the game a the second time (because you already have a completed game save data on you memory card). This is much faster than actually going through the game multiple times to get bonus weapons and increase your bullet adjust. Bullet adjust allows you to double the amount of bullets you can get from a single box, depending on how many times you completed the game. If you did this trick three times you can triple the amount of bullets you would normally get from a single box in very little time.

When initially reaching the subway station, look for a cluster of vending machines for coins and tickets. On top of one of those machines is a newspaper telling of a man who was killed, presumably by accident, by a train. Later, once you begin descending levels, you will come across a stairwell that has an occult magazine lying on the ground. Read it, and it will describe how the ghosts of those who commit suicide or those who died by accident often come back to haunt the places of their death, and will either come to people for help or take revenge on them. If you read both of these articles and descend the steps, Heather will walk down to the subway track, and a small intermission sequence will ensue which has a ghost push Heather onto the train tracks. You must turn around quickly and climb back up, or you will be killed by an oncoming train. Note: That this occurred in the Extra New Game mode, and may not happen the first time through on Normal Game mode.

Defeating the final Boss on Extreme X is a nightmare. However, there is way to get around it. Do the Revenge ending repeatedly and you are on your way to Level X. The only Boss monster that you should encounter is the worm that resembles a mutated Johnson on Sundays. Beware, your only weapon during this quest is the slow, fairly strong Sexy Beam. Become familiar with using the Sexy Beam, use the True Heather Beam (R2 + X) on dogs and flying monsters, and use the Heather Ray (R2 + X(2) or Forward + R2 + X) on the giant monsters and the squirming little ones. Remember you can recover your stamina by exiting and reentering a room. Stamina is a must during this quest

There are multiple areas in the game where special death scenes occur for your character if you trigger them. In the hospital, allow yourself to be killed by the nurses. The screen will go black, and then it will show Heather lying on the ground, as a male doctor zombie shambles up, grabs and widely spreads her legs, and drags her off into the darkness. At the final area, after Claudia kills Vincent and the exchange between Heather and Claudia ensues, equip a weapon and attack Claudia with it. Heather will then begin to bleed out and birth the "God". This is not really an ending, as it counts as a "Game Over", but is a gruesome ending nonetheless. While in the subway, hop down onto the tracks and run all the way to the end of them, into the tunnel. Heather will be run over by the train, accompanied by nauseating sound effects. When on the train, simply turn around and exit through the door in the rear of any car. Heather will be on the very end of the train. If you move forward towards the edge, a first-person cut scene will occur in which Heather falls from the train onto the tracks, and dies. There are other death scenes located in specific areas throughout the game. Look for areas that seem significant (locations from previous games, for instance) and allow yourself to be killed.

Use the following trick to avoid using any ammo or health while you face the Pyramid Head in the apartment. When you go into the staircase on the second floor, immediately go to the right (or left if the camera is facing on James). Dodge around the Pyramid Head until you get to the wall. Wait until he jumps down the staircase filled with water, then he is gone until the hospital. First, get the apartment stairway key in the Blue Creek apartments. Then, go to the locked door at the end of the hall on the second floor. Once you are inside, you will find the Pyramid Head doing something to a monster. He will then throw the monster down and go for you. Take out your gun and start firing. Your action level determines on how many bullets you have to shoot. Note: If he gets close, run. His attack is very powerful because he has the Great Knife. You will get the Great Knife later. If he hits you, and you do not die, quickly get a med-kit. Keep running back and forth, shooting until he swims down the stairs and the siren goes off. Then, run down the stairs. You will not encounter him again until the hospital. Go out the door to get outside. Use the following trick for a quick and easy way to defeat the two Pyramid Head enemies at the end of the hotel. This will allow you to defeat them without using any health or ammunition. First, enter the room and start running around it counterclockwise. Let them get fairly close to you and then quick spin around backwards and equip the Great Knife. However, you have to make sure that James is directly next to the wall (with the wall on his left and the Pyramid Heads attacking from the right). Use the low swinging attack. Since James swings the knife from right to left, the knife will hit them a second time as it bounces off the wall. Keep swinging and they should not even be able to hit you. Although there are many ways do defeat the Pyramid Head(s) with different weapons, it is also possible to just run. In the apartment complex, he is holding the Great Knife. The room is small, but it is fairly easy to dodge him even in hard mode. The fight may last more than five minutes with just running, but you will not have to use any bullets. It is possible that shooting him will make him leave earlier, but under the hard difficulty setting with very limited ammunition, it is better just to avoid him. When he is shot, it sounds like James just hit metal and it looks like Pyramid Head takes no damage. In the labyrinth, he can be avoided easily. In the last fight with two Pyramid Heads with spears, the same tactic is usable. They may be a lot faster, but the room is also much larger. After a long time, the siren will start and they will impale themselves. The Hyper Spray (with a 10 star ranking) can make Pyramid Head flee immediately.

When you encounter an enemy, try and get fairly close to it. When it attacks, quickly hold Square and side step out of the way by pressing either L1 or R1. Then, face the enemy and attack it with the board with a nail in it. Most of the early enemies you encounter have a slow reaction time after they attack and can easily be taken down with the board and nail. :Note: This is only recommended for use with those types of enemies and should not be used when facing later enemies. In the streets of Silent Hill, your radio will go off, indicating there is a monster or monsters near by. Slowly walk and go into first person view. If done correctly, you will see a monster not moving or stuck in mid-step. You can shoot them with your gun and kill them. However, if you walk too close they will come to life. To easily kill a normal monster, shoot it until it falls down, then run up and press Action. James will kick or step on the monster and it will die.

Obtain the Great Knife (very big sword), in the labyrinth (from the room protected by the pyramid head enemy). Start the Boss battle by immediately pressing Start. Go to the menu and equip the Great Knife. Hold down Ready Attack before the menu screen disappears, and press Attack as hard as possible. If done correctly, you will do your fierce sword attack, and since it requires about two and a half seconds to complete by the time you swing you will have hit the Doorman. Now that it is stunned, just tap Attack to do the lesser swing and kill the Boss. If it does not, just swing the necessary amount of times, and it will die quite easily.

In the first battle, equip your rifle and as soon as you get the chance, shoot him four times. He will run away. Follow him into the next room. Get far away from him and just keep shooting until he dies. If he gets in close, run away and shoot him. If done correctly, he should be locked in between shots and you will not get hit.

After selling drugs to a dealer, kill him and take his money and drugs. On the Sandman Island, look for any Sandman leads that have you in a boat. Shoot the targets, then destroy their boats to have two crates appear; one with money and one with ammunition. Collect both crates for a sizable amount of ammunition and money. This is an easy way to get money and ammunition, as you do not have any time limits on the boat missions. Go to the industrial zone and look for the sperm bank. They will give you $25,000 for your balls. Enable the "1,000 balls" code and just keep cashing in your balls. This will help you to buy fronts and exotics quicker. In Little Havana, start at the front entrance of Pedro's pawn shop. Go south until you get to the auto clinic then turn right. At the southern end of the auto clinic building you will see a yellow pole separating the building and a wall. Run through this small doorway and go all the way to the back to a sperm bank, where you can sell your balls. Keep enabling the "1,000 balls" code and keep selling them. To ensure you get better deals from the drug suppliers, make sure your Gang Heat is low. You will get more product for the same amount of money. This especially helps if your Gang Heat is at zero and your Cop Heat is on zero as well. 30 kg at $100,000 should net you $13 to $15 million. On the island with the docks and winding roads, go by where the docks are located, at the top right corner of the island on the map. Follow the road to the building (the orange spot with the bank symbol on it). There should be a building with a sign that reads "Bodog" It is a bar. There should be a cage as soon as you walk in. You can bet on cock fights and people fighting. You can bet as high as $25,000. There is also a casino in that building where you can also make money.

The following is an easy way to earn Madden Tokens to get Madden Cards fast. Play a Two Minute Drill after going to the rosters to change some player stats. It does not matter which team you change the stats to, just make them very good. For example, if you go to the Saints, make the entire offensive line very good. Then, do the same for the fullback and halfback. Then go a team you plan to go against in the Two Minute Drill. Go to their defense and make their speed and awareness very low for all the defensive players. Once done, go to Two Minute Drill. Select how many players you want, set the difficulty to All-Madden, then make sure your profile shows up to the left side of the teams you selected. If you plan to run against the defense, try a HB toss to run on the outside. If you pass, throw Hail Marys the entire time. Your receiver that was made very good should burn the defensive backs, more so if you make them very tall and skinny. They can make jump catches all the time. For some reason, running the ball for touchdowns gives you more points, so mix it up.
