Best Online Experience for PS3 to date!

After seeing two of the three reviews were purely garbage i felt it only fair to help paint a truer picture of warhawk for people.
Simply put, the game is the best online experience you will have with your ps3. YES its better than resistance. The game is very fast paced (one of the developers said it is like the love-child of Unreal Tournament and Battlefield) and the learning curve is steep especially when using the sixaxis for controls, but again I say the game is a constant blast of excitement once your over the hump (analog support is also available for those who are not interested in the sixaxis controls).
Another great thing about this game is that it isnt all about the flying. If you really cant get a handle on the flying or it simply does not interest you, you can drive around in tanks and jeeps helping to hold spawn points, or carry the flag, or hop in an anti-air gun and shoot down some enemy warhawks!
If you have a head-set then the game reaches an even higher level because communication in games such as "zones" and of course "capture-the-flag" is absolutely key.
Lastly, one of the biggest advantages of this game is the ability to have friends join and leave without you having to disconnect from the server you are in. Example: You are playing in some CTF server and your buddy Bill comes over. All Bill has to do is hit the PS button on the second controller, and then hit "start" and your TV screen automatically splits in two and he loads into the game. Now lets say Bill has to leave, all he does it hit start and then quit, and he disconnects from the game and the screen resizes. This can be done for up to 4players on one ps3!
Whether you download this game on the PSN or you purchase the blu-ray version that comes with a headset, its definitely worth the money if you are into online multiplayer games!
TOTALLY AWESOME!

I never ever get bored of this game. It's that great! The sound quality and game play makes the experience really intense and exciting. The huge maps make it fun to fly around.
The many factors involved in trying to make your team win makes this quite fun and you will never get bored.
Totally worth the price (as it isn't cheap already -- I got it for $40, with a headset!)!!!
totally awsome

This was my first online experience and the first game I bought for the playstation 3. The gameplay is solid, with many weapons and vehicles to choose from. My favorite mode to play in is capture the flag. It is by far the best mode, especially when your base is under attack and you get many points. There is even an expansion pack coming out in December that will allow us to play at night. This is a must have for every playstation 3 owner.
great!!!

Warhawk, a true review
Reviewed by Blazej302 on March 17, 2008 | report this review
Warhawk is a game developed by Santa Monica Studios; a company owned by Sony. So the game is exclusive to the PS3. The game is well polished and has little to no "bugs" within the game. The game does offer a variety of expendiblity, going from air travel with a Warhawk and other flying planes, to Tanks, Armored Vehicles, and armored Armed Jeeps. With downloadable content found on the PS Store, the game is filled with content. But as you start to spend hours upon hours of gameplay within the game you start to feel as if you are doing the same things over and over again...i mean dont get me wrong the game does have the "Open World" feel to it, but their just isnt enough maps to keep you entertained. The gameplay is simple, run and gun, or for me run, jump and gun, and the graphics are an absolute "let down." I do recomend this game for people that love war games, but do not recomend this game for noobs of any such genre.
ok

i was pretty excited about this but did not know it would be online only. as a few have stated it does get old quick as you fly around and kill and be killed numerous times. you can go to the ground and drive vehicles or shoot at people or planes. the little bit that i played i thought was ok. the inst. were not very good i thought as i was always getting hit by a locked missle and when i picked up what i thought was not it did not say that you hold button down to lock on, so once i figured that out i got better. but it still gets old it is not battlefield2 or cod4 where you can play offline to hone your skills then go online. i think every game should be either way not just online only
