Pretty damn bad...
Reviewed by i_love_games11 on November 02, 2006 | report this review
As soon as you start up the game you are already turned off by the ugly and blan presentation. When you actually start playing the gameplay is very bad. You command your characters to move in a turn based strategy. You move them around a chess board like battlefield that doesnt look bad. The characters arent any different from eachother because they only have a few moves to execute in battle.
There is no story line what so ever in the game. You just appear in random areas and fight people or creatures. The music is great obviously becuase its lotr. The graphics are pretty good, but if you compare it to another new psp game you can see a big difference. Overall this game isnt that great. Theres no online and no replay value. I recommend this ONLY to extremely large lotr fans who are a fan of the genre. This is NOT an rpg, its a tactical strategy turn based game.
Good, but not worth the price tag.

At first look, this game is good. But, soon, you'll realize that a buch of cloned units, cloned skills, and frustrating movement commands will force any appreciation of the game you once had out the window. Unless you need to get your fix of LOTR on a bus or something, or if you just like strategy(albiet bad strategy ) with LOTR with a portable console thrown in, stay away from this game.
Very good game

This game is very good. I bought it used and was very pleased. It is the nice action game with some puzzle and stradigy fun. You can play as many characters and customize them. I highly recomend it. VERY ADDICTING.

if you like lord of the rings and you like tactics games you'll almost definitaley like this game. it has a a perfect mixture of puzzle and strategy, and is incredibly long, and to add to its length, to can beat the game on both the good and bad side so its double the length. this game also offers a variety of main characters to use throughout the game, like gimli, aragorn, legolas, gandalf, merry and pipin. this is a challenging game but not so hard it gets frustrating, so if you have a psp youll want this game
