Similar to Sega's Terra Phantastica series, Soldnerschild 2 is a strategy/RPG from KOEI that follows the 1997 Saturn title of the same name. Set in a fantasy-oriented world and based on a premise that allows players to control hundreds of different characters in epic war-like battles, Soldnerschild 2 also offers multiple endings and branching story paths. Definitely one of the more ambitious PlayStation 2 year one announcement titles, Soldnerschild 2 was eventually and quietly cancelled not too long after the PlayStation 2 was released in Japan.
