freaking awsome game

Resident Evil has always been my favorate game and will always be . Resident Evil 4 is the best so far the graphics and weapons zombies it is just an awsome game cant wait till Resident Evil 5 comes out Feb.08.07 for xbox 360 so be ready for more EVIL

so yeah resident evil is the best in the R.E. series yet there is an awsome arsonal of weapons to kick parisite infected villagers and with many side games you will always have something to do and you will continue to learn more and more about the game and how to play it the more you play it i would suggest this game to anyone that is willing to have a blast

Resident Evil no more: 90% shooter, 10% cheap-scare horror

I played the old Resident Evil games. I loved RE2, and it was so good I even played it after the PS2 was out and still enjoyed myself tremdnously. It was scary and mysterious and fun. I thought RE4 would be as well. Instead it was an extreme disappointment. This is a shooter masquerading as a horror game. There aren't even zombies. Where are the zombies?? Isn't this Resident Evil? I had more entertainment watching parodies of this game by the Bentley Brothers on Youtube than I had playing this game. I got so bored I quit right in the middle. I started playing Fatal Frame instead (which I highly recommend because it is actually scary). If you like shooters then by all means get this game as I hear it's an excellent shooter. If you want a horror game, look elsewhere, or pick up Resident Evil 1 or 2 which might surprise you with how fun they can be.

Like no other first person shooter

RE4 is a very unique game, not being precisely a first person shooter, and not quite an adventure game. It keeps the feel and presence of the other resident evil games and definitely improves on the qualities of the first games.

Unlike the older resident evil games, there is more of a story to this, even though it is far fetched (of course, it's always the case with sci-fi based ideas) but it works better than the predecessors. The main feel you get of this game is the general atmosphere, which you will feel because they have created dismal, out of the way, small areas that you will remember after you're done playing.

The gameplay can be frustrating, but no more than the former games. You will get used to it after a while though, and it does get better and easier, though the game gets harder as you go along! (Unfortunately, VERY early in the game, you are presented with one of the toughest fights in the entire game, in my opinion, and that almost turned me off to the game, but after that it gets better). Just remember to conserve your ammo, and, foremost, you don't have to kill everything!

Overall, a great game, just long enough to clear up the story, and to be fun without making you feel like you got cheated. Should take you about 20 hours or more, depending on how slow you go. Very decent length. Very good leaders and mini-bosses that are very nice on screen. And with a lower price, definitely worth buying. Highly recommended.

This is an amazing game that has so many suprises! Amazing graphics and an outragously awsome Plot! But gosh why oh why is that little ashley so capturable? maybe I'll shoot her in the game one day... oh yeah... I did shoot her... but that was because the dude captured her and i tried to snipe him but some how I shot her leg. which is strange cause I am so good at sniping. Oh yeah and also when I first played the game during a movie part i just drank some caprisun but all of a sudden it said press L1+R1 and I was like Holy Crap but I Died. So heres a tip be Extremeley prepared during a movie part.And Guess What... I still haven't beat the game!!!

This game is awsome!!!!Great plot, great weapons, and more zombies. Altohugh i must say its very long but with lots of puzzles and other goodies that will keep u entertained and keep u interested. But man this game will scare the hell out of you at some points. Chainsaw guys that run at u like maniacs(and cut ur head off) are pretty scarry. the creepiest enemies are definetly regenerators though. The most grim scene in the game has to be when u walk into a room and look at a hospital bed with a large black figure on it but it looks to be dead, then u go into the next room which features a dude with a huge parasite in his back and a dead guy covered in blood from whom u get the keycard u need. remember the black thing i talked about? well all of a sudden it comes alive and pops out of its bed all moaning and groaning and coming right at u. Freaky stuff. eventually they have spikes on their bodies, but anyway this game is worth it so... buy it!

...and the best playstation 2 game. It is a bit of a sidestory in the overall Resident Evil storyline, not tying in excessively with the main plot. However for me this was a draw, since I find the actual Resident Evil plot incredibly stupid.

The gameplay is fantastic. The camera is one of the best in any third person shooter, the shooting controls work great. Everything about the way Leon (the main character you control) moves is perfectly tuned to provide challenging and often cool-looking gameplay. You can shoot projectiles out of the air, smash through windows, and perform split-second dodges with context-sensitive actions. These context-sensitive actions are a great way that RE4 managed to diversify the gameplay and the number of moves Leon can pull off without bogging down the control scheme.

Presentation-wise, this game takes the crown for the ps2, and is a contender for the entire current generation. The graphics are excellent, and a lot was pulled off on the ps2 hardware -- although the graphics aren't as technically impressive as they seem at a glance, it's very difficult to notice and the overall effect is very, very solid. Everything contributes to a great game atmosphere.

If you don't own this game, go pick it up for the PS2 or Cube. I personally recommend the Cube version, because the controls are superior, but you will also get some great extras for the "complete experience" on the PS2. Your pick.

This game is by far the best game in the resident evil series that I have ever played. It's just plain awsome! It may not seem so but Leon can pull off anythig you can think of(the guy litteraly blows the heads offzombis for a living)

Resident Evil 4 is the BEST PS2 game you can get. It set the bar for PS2 graphics. It has a good controls after you get used to it. But it would be nice to move and shoot at the same time. Can't wait for Resident Evil 5 to come out.

SERIES AND COULD TOLERATE ALL THE CLUNKY CONTROLS AND PRE-RENDERED SCREENS OF THE ORIGINAL SERIES, THEN YOU WILL TOTALLY APPRECIATE THE NEW GRAPHICS, CONTROLS AND CAMERA ANGLES/CONTROLS IN THIS GAME. DONT HESITATE GO GET THIS GAME NOW! OF COURSE I HAVE THIS GAME, BUT I CANT PART WITH IT ITS TOO GOOD. IVE ALREADY REPLAYED IT TWO OR THREE TIMES. THE EXTRAS AVAILABLE AFTER YOU BEAT IT THE FIRST TIME REALLY UP THE REPLAY VALUE, WITH EXTRA MINI-GAMES AND A WHOLE SEPARATE PART OF THE GAME CALLED "SEPARATE WAYS" WITH THE BEAUTIFUL "LADY IN RED" ADA WONG. Wow where do i start? The graphics are amazing. The gameplay is very good. This game is like no other shooter ive ever played. Incredible story. So far ive played 15 hours and still havent beaten the game. 9/10 for me. I would recommend this game to everyone

This for real does got to be the greatest game I ever played in any type of games, action, adventure etc..., it is the best game in the resident evil franchise and it really bought the game back to modern gamers, it had a new controls from old resident evil games and the graphics are great.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Its scary as hell too, you better play this in daylight with the blinds open or you will soil your pants.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!It deserves title of greatest game ever. I really didn't want to sell it, but I needed points for new games... so

This is the best resident evil of them all and really my favorite ps2 game, it reinvents resident evil into the modern types of action/survival horror games, the new over the shoulder third person view is great and makes the game a whole lot more accessible. It has incredible graphics and it is really etertaining, especially in the middle of the night with all the lights off and the volume crancked up, it might piss off the rest of your family cuz they cant sleep, but in the end, its all the more rewarding.I also played the gamecube version, but resident evil was meant to be on playstation, it was born on it and it will die on it, cant wait for RE5!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As U.S. agent Leon Kennedy looks into the abduction of the President's daughter, his investigation leads to a mysterious location in Europe. Encountering unimaginable horrors, he must find out what is behind the terror.
This game is really a great game to play. The game play is really good. The story could of used some work but it's hard to get both, just look at Gears of War. Nor does it stick to the Residental Evil story line anywhere. Enjoy the gameplay everyone.

almost anyone will say this is the best Resident Evil ever, and may be the best that they will EVER make. The mini games are great too once you beat the game so the fun will keep going and going!
