Game Description

Classic remake. Much like Hudson's other retro revivals, like Bonk's Adventure, Lode Runner 3D, and Star Soldier, Adventure Island has been reworked so that it retains its classic gameplay elements while getting a slight graphical upgrade. Mr. Higgins travels across several worlds, Mario style, fighting evil beings like turtles, floating skulls, and flying lizard things. Along with the various fruits that Mr. Higgins collects for points, he'll also run across eggs that hold various power ups. Using a kateboard upgrade, Mr. Higgins thrashes through jungles or over clouds. This allows him to rapidly move through levels and jump higher. Released in Japan in December 2003.
