You would have to be insane to trade this game for another. It is UNBELIEVABLE. Much better than any other Zelda, which is a huge feat. Controls are almost perfect, sound is almost perfect, graphics are almost perfect, but the game itself is so fantastic that it puts aside any faults you might find in it. If you have a Wii (or a Gamecube) you absolutely need this game.

Twilight Princess is definately one of the best games I've ever played. Controls and gameplay in general are amazing. Graphics are perfect for the game itself; while not as good as PS3 or 360 graphics, they feel right for the game. I've never played Ocarina of Time, but Twilight Princess is tied with the Wind Waker for best Zelda game I've played. It's almost worth getting a Wii just for this game.

I played and beat Zelda on the N64 and was a little skeptical about playing this. I was absolutely wrong. It took a minute to get into it, but once I did I played it all day everyday. I even found myself leaving work early to try and finish it. I found some wonderful Walk-throughs to help and I love this game. It definitely hooks you in. There are similarities from previous Zelda games but it is definitely unique.
By far the best game for the wii.

I thoroughly enjoyed all the features the new zelda game had to offer. It was a very fun game, but after a while you start to think that it's just the same zelda game you've been playing for years just with better controls and some improvements. The game was very easy, even though it was kind of long. I beat it in 35 hours but i know some people that spent 90+ hours on this game, i don't see how but it happens. One thing i really dislike about this game is the noises on the wii remote, they're fun at first but when you're playing it for hours at a time it gets really really annoying. But overall it was a great game.

The Legend of Zelda: Twlight Princess is by far the best Wii game ever created let alone Zelda game created. The whole system of playing the game with the Wii style control rocks and is so fun. Imagine countless hours fishing, including using different lures and reeling in the fish as if you were actually fishing! The graphics have been revamped and look far advanced and amazing than on the 64 and look quite polished and clean. The musical score is different with some classic songs from previous Zeldas and going through adventure to adventure never ceases to keep you excited or on the edge of your feet. Get this game, trust me or anyone, it is a must.
Fun and adventure with Zelda!

Go fishing, play with five year old kids, herd cows, and then go off to fight dragons. Traditional Zelda gameplay. It's fun to explore and just kill time in the towns (made easy with the various side-quests), and the graphics are great for a Wii game. This is easily the best Zelda game yet, and I recommend it to fans or just people who like the thrill of exploring in videogames.

Zelda Twilight Princess is by far one of the best games I have ever played in my life. It has a lot to follow with games such as Zelda OoT and Wind Waker coming before it. While to me it was not as amazing as OoT it truly is one of the best games of all time. Playing as Link and wolf Link you will travel the world of hyrule fighing off the twilight to save the land. The battles are epic as is the story, with many new challenges, enemys, bosses and characters it is sure to be an amazing game for anyone Zelda fan or not. The controls for the Wii version of Zelda TP are very fun and the learning curve it not to difficult. If you want an amazing game be sure to pick yourself up a copy of Zelda TP or trade someone if you can find anyone willing to get rid of it. Enjoy.
This game is awesome!
I have always loved the Legend of Zelda games, but I think this is by far the best! The controls take a little getting used to, but they make the game so much more interesting. I haven't been able to stop playing the game since I got it! By far the best game on the Wii that has been released so far!

What makes Zelda so great is the mix of gameplay. At one moment you are solving a puzzle in a forest temple, the next you are walking on the ceiling with magnetic boots, then battling enemies will riding on your horse, then snowboarding down a mountain, next following a scent trail of captured friends using your wolf sense ability, then sumo wrestling Gorons, fishing, canoeing down a river, and the list goes on and on. This game also has a great story with fantastic character development. Amazing boss battles that are very cinematic. Great old and new tools. Huge overworld to explore. Great music. I also thought this game had very in depth side quests that were woven into the game between the many temples. The wii controls are awesome. Aiming your bow and arrow and swinging your sword really add to the experience. TP is my new favorite game.

As a Wii launch title, this game had delivered everything you expect from a Zelda game. The graphics are state of the art even though it's not consider as next gen. It take awhile to get use to the controls. However once you master them, the game become quite challenaging. It would be nice if we have some voices in this game instead of captions. You have several choices available in the opening levels. You can go and explore as much as you want by playing mini-games and solving puzzles or follow Link in the story mode. This game take full advantage of the Wii-mote. IMO this game was pretty short. I'd completed it within a day during first run. The bottom line - Twliight Princess is an excellent Nintendo game. I give it 9.5/10.

There are tons of side-quests and items to collect that greatly increase the replay value. With over 50 hours of solid gameplay this game deserves the title of best Zelda ever.
Overall A Great Game
The game has amazing graphics and fighting style. The storyline was excellent too. The only thing I wasn't impressed with was how (with all the zelda games) they still neglected to fix the ending. I don't know about anybody else, but I get sick of fighting Ganondorf a hundred times after I already beat the game.

I came into this game with extremely high expectations. This game exceeded them by all means and put down the debate of the best zelda game. This is simply put the best zelda game. This is hard to believe but, it is even better than Ocarina of Time. Not only is it the best zelda game, it is the best game ever made.
The story is incredible. It left me in complete awe after I finished it. I could not believe what I had just played. As I thought back to what just happened, it was incredible. To really enjoy the story, you must complete the game. To finish early should be considered a crime.
The graphics were beautiful. The game had a certain artistic style that I have never seen. It is not as unique as Okami, but the monsters and places were in great detail. I also really enjoyed playing as an older Link for the whole game.
The controls for the game are swift and flawless. The controls for the long ranged weapons are fun. Swinging the sword is also great fun and easy. All you do is flick your wrist and he swings. Or if you like you can actually swing your arm (I don't recommend that though.)
The sound coming from the wiimote is a little irritating but it works perfectly in some situations like the sound of a sword being pulled out. The best part of the sound is the classical score of the zelda theme being played. It made me very nostalgic of the previous games.
Go buy a wii and play this game asap. This game tops the best of the best in every category. Think of your favorite game..... You got it? Times that game by 100 and you couldn't even touch the godliness and holiness of this game.

the game is so amazing. it is long; it took me about 80 hours to beat (mostly because i like to explore and do side stuff, but normally i think its around a 40 hour+ game). the storyline is great, and the controls are simple and wont wear you out. the gadgets are extremely fun to use, and there are plenty of secret places and chests to keep you busy outside of the main quest. the graphics as well are great and the music is awesome. the enemies do get quite easy as you get better however, but it does not take away the factor of it being fun at all. the entire map is so big and has so much to explore it will keep you busy for a long time. also, the fishing in the game is like a whole game itself, it's great, and the snowboarding is fun too. i definately would recommend this. 5 stars

But, since I got the Wii, I got this game with it through a special deal - and I loved it. It was a super-long game, one which I never fully beat. There are tons of secrets, extra minigames to find and conquer throughout the game. The gameplay is very fun and challenging as well. Also, as with all the other Zelda titles, there are plenty of weapons to earn and moves to learn. Towards the end of the game, you should really have a hang of how it works and have a blast.

I played this game the first day I got my wii but didn't play it much until 2 months later. I really got into it and beat it in 3 days (50 hours. I have played tons of Zelda Games all of them on the video game consoles but not all the gameboy versions. OoT (Orcarina of Time) was my favorite until this. The graphics bring the game to life a lot more than the past Wind Waker and Four Swords versions. I loved the side-quest and I still have two left (Hearts and Poes). The way of changing from dog to human is very fun and also using the weapon you earn in the temple and figuring out how to beat the boss is very fun. This game has the best graphics out of all the released games on the wii. The story I would place around a 9.5 because it is good but just isn't "perfect" if you know what I mean. The gameplay I would give a 9 because I loved the sword slashing but I didn't like how they took out the Bow and Arrow movement. The price would get a 9 also because it is just the normal price. The Legend of Zelda. A game series that truly had a huge impact on Nintendo, next to the Super Mario Bros. series. The LOZ series is probably most famous for it's N64 edition, Ocarina of Time. The Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess, is about on the same level of Ocarina of Time in my opinion. This game is the only Legend of Zelda game rated "T" and is the darkest Legend of Zelda game of all. In the game, Link starts out as a simple farm boy who's life is changed when a group of evil orcs attacks his village and steals away several children. Link follows them and saves them, but this leads to a new plot line involving Princess Zelda, a new race called Twili, Ganondorf and and two new twili people named Midna and Zant.
Graphics 10/10
This game is the best graphical game for the Wii, beside a few textures, but even those look nicely detailed.
Story 10/10
The story is the darkest one of LOZ series like I said before, but it also one of the most intriguing, you'll think your play/watching Lord of the Rings. The bad guys are eviler, the heroes are more heroic, and the civilians are more life like.
Gameplay 10/10
Like I said in my last review, I'm not good at the gameplay part of the review, but this is honestly a good example of fun Wii gameplay. From targeting something with your Wii Remote and bow, to using your sword and shield with the nunchuk and Remote.
Good Bad Review

Words cannot even begin to describe the excellence that is The Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess. The motion controls are perfectly done, and it is quite fun to just get on Epona, ride in Hyrule field and shoot random enemies with your Bow and Arrows (Which is much easier with the motion controls; I never used that feature in past games since it was so hard.) The music is absolutely the best game music I have EVER heard. It is Zelda music at it's core, and it's amazing. The story is really awesome, too. I can't even begin to say how it truly is, because you have to experience it yourself.
This is a MUST have for EVERY Wii owner out there. If you don't have it, GET IT!

I dont care what everybody else says. This game didnt quite meet my expectations. Dont get me wrong, its a great game but for a Zelda game its lacking. For example, i really loved the combat style of windwaker like parries and picking up enemy weapons. I would have really loved to see this new element expanded on but unfortunately it was missing from TP even though they said they were using the windwaker engine. Instead the bring back hidden sword moves like in LoZ: Minish Cap which was really cool and sorta makes up for the missing parrying.
The graphics are pretty nice but also could be better, after all the same game is on the 'cube which is supposedly worse than the Wii. The horribly pixilated fences really bugged me.
Then there's the controls. Aiming projectiles is very easy and fun and minigames like fishing and the sadly underused sumo were a blast. The one problem was again with the sword combat; it was a little laggy and pointless with only one motion. It would have been really cool if the motion you made with your arm was replicated on screen but no, that would have been too cool for this game.
Fortunately there is a lot of play value in this game. It could last you up to 70 hours if you are a perfectionist and feel it necessary to complete every side quest (still stuck on the poe souls) and the ability to turn into a wolf is really cool. There was however a shortage of tools which was a little disappointing. Unlike just about every other Zelda game, you don't get a musical instrument. All they feel right to give you is weeds. You dont even get to play, it's all scripted. It would have been awesome to play an instrument with motion controls.
This review is getting to long so i'll just make one last gripe. Wii-mote sound sucks!! There, that's my opinion, bite me.
Not the real Zelda Wii, but still freaking awesome!

Ok, lets start with the most important thing: a brief description that must not be missing in any zelda game. THIS GAME IS AWESOME, one of the bests, and a must have despite a few things here and there...
So, what's the problem you say? Well, you have to understand that this game wasn't built from the ground-up according to the Wii, and that is the main source of nays... few? yes. Annoying? not enough to ruin an almost perfect game with a perfect score
The problem(s) (make sure you also read the pros, as they as much more important than this minuscule probs)- Well, the most noted one it's the graphics. Sure, the game IS beautiful, but the Wii can do much better, and it falls short when compared to another biggie like metroid prime 3's graphics. This can accepted, as the game wasnt meant to be on the Wii, and that did more pluses than minuses.
You might consider this either a pro or a con, so ill bring up both sides of the story: Sword fighting. Con: one motion for standar attack, meaning that no matter how you attack (left to right, right to left) link will only attack the same way.
Now the good part: WOW factor. After playing through both versions, i realized how much swinging the controller around improves the experience. You truly feel like you are linked to link- pardon the pun. Other pluses are that there are other attacks besides standard attack, such as stabbing spin attack etc, and this bring variety and kinda cancels the nay of just one way standard attack.
Story- in one word: epic 10/10
Graphics- 9.0/10 beautiful Zelda game, acceptable not so hot on Wii due to it was supposed to be the glorious end of the cube
Sound- 10/10 Incredible orchestra tunes bring up nostalgia moments in a new way
Gameplay- 10/10 you've never felt so close to link like this before.
Overall: 10/10- if you dont have it, get it NOW! With such a long game (50 plus hours) epic story, and plenty to do, this is one of Wii's best... and it wasnt even a the real Zelda Wii... just imagine when that comes out!

When the Wii launched, there was one game and only one game people had in mind. Zelda. Mainly it was because this game got delayed over and over again. To the point that it went for a last gen Gamecube game to a first gen Wii game.
To tell you the truth, the game still ended up to be a Gamecube game with Wii controls thrown in. Not to say they don't work well, because they certainly feel right. But the game was obviously not created with these controls in mind from the start. In fact the original Gamecube version was released on the Gamecube, left-handed Link and all. (the Wii version is inverted because most of the population of the world is right handed). But the Wii being new and all, I guess it was smart to do it.
This game follows the usual story of Link going from a regular farm boy to a princess-saving evil-slaying hero. This game takes place many years after Ocarina of Time, but its not intended to be a sequel.
Speaking about Ocarina of Time, I still haven't played a Zelda game that can beat that as far as lenght, challenge, and overall charm. TP is great, has a dark interesting theme and all, but it didn't quite reach that level of awesome that I felt when I played OOT. I was also dissapointed on how easy this game was overall. It wasnt as easy as Wind Waker... but for a 'serious' themed Zelda it didn't feel hard enough. Heck, even Mario Galaxy is harder than this game.
But don't get me wrong. Whether you have a Gamecube or a Wii, you shouldn't miss this game. It's a great adition to the series, and hopefully we will see a much improved Zelda for the Wii in the years to come.

this is a very good game ... I could have appreciated it more if I didnt play okami first; for those who have played okami or know about the game in full will know what I mean when you read it and that being said the game wasnt to original for me.
Epic.

The Beggining is slow, but after the 1st temple this game is one of 2006 best. The land of Hyrule is HUGE, with some great charachters (espically Midna). The controls are way better on the Wii then the GC, and the art design is top notch. 40+ hours are in store for you. 5 stars easily.
