If you're Muhammed Ali and your opponent is Joe Frazier, the last thing you want to do is slug it out in close. Joe Fraziers body signature punches will quickly have you down for the count, so you'll have to float like a butterfly and sting like a bee. :D

stay just out of his range and only go in for a combo and quickly back out again. If you are playing a human controlled opponent, the trick is to frustrate him into making predictable attacks and hopefully desperate haymakers.

No matter who you are fighting, hanging around the outside, alot of leaning away from punches, and jabbing them to death will take them out. Don't block alot. you'll still take damage, so get out of the way and stay moving. Throwing a jab counter after almost any missed pucnh will normally set up a pretty easy 3 or 4 punch combo, so use the jab and lay off the haymakers. It easier to jab a man to death than it is to get your head pounded in because you keep missing haymakers..........

This is the best boxing game ever made period. If you ever get the chance to play this game online take advantage of this and do it because playing the computer all of the time is a little bit to easy and they don't play as smart as a person would but if you think that your really good test your skills online just don't throw power punches unless you really need them cause you will be knocked down and or out if you do.
